Fast-Track Higher Rights for Senior Lawyers

We offer fast-track Higher Rights of Audience training to partners and senior lawyers who do not have a lot of time to spare.

In 3 hours, Professor Peter Lyons will coach you, one-on-one, in the comfort of your own office. You will be taught all the skills and knowledge you require to meet all the SRA’s assessment criteria.

The courses usually run after 5pm at a time to suit our clients.

You will be assessed a few days later by an independent assessor. You should expect the results within 4-6 weeks.

The assessment involves the submission of a skeleton argument; a 90 minute written examination on Evidence, Ethics, Diversity Awareness and Civil Procedure; an 8 minute Interim Application; a 15 minute examination of a witness played by an actor and an 8 minute trial speech.

Our fee depends upon when and where you want the training and assessment to take place and will include our travel costs. We will endeavour to find a place for you on an assessment day which is already scheduled. An assessment scheduled just for you will be more expensive.

This programme is not for everyone. It would not suit a junior practitioner or someone with limited experience of advocacy.

The senior practitioners who have attended this training have all scored high marks in the assessment.
