Trainers: Bob Stein

Bob Stein is a very experienced trial lawyer and teacher and has a considerable reputation in the United States and Ireland.

 

A 1971 graduate of the University of Michigan Law School, Professor Stein is a member of the bars of the Supreme Courts of New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, the First and Third Circuit Courts of Appeal and the United States Supreme Court. Professor Stein also appeared in a long trial before the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia (UNICTY).

 

Professor Stein became a NITA trainer in 1973, which was the second year of NITA’s existence. He is highly regarded as one of the best NITA trainers in the US. He also taught for NITA in the Republic of Ireland.

 

He is program director of the New England Regional NITA program, and a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates. He is a Fellow of the International Society of Barristers, and serves on the Board of Directors of the New Hampshire Chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union. He is the principal of Robert A. Stein & Associates, practising from Concord, New Hampshire.

 

In 2006 he won the Prentice H. Marshall Faculty Award for the Development of Innovative Teaching Methods.

 

Professor Stein has taught advocacy in the City of London on a number of occasions. He has taught arbitration advocacy for Linklaters in Prague and Barcelona, for Clifford Chance in Amsterdam and for CMS Legal Services in Vienna.
