CPD - NITA

We are pleased to announce that in 2008, CPD Training entered into an alliance agreement with the National Institute for Trial Advocacy (NITA).

NITA is the leading provider of legal advocacy skills training in the United States. NITA pioneered the legal skills learning-by-doing methodology over 35 years ago and has since remained the ultimate standard in continuing legal education advocacy skills training. NITA’s courses deliver unparalleled professional development for nearly 6,000 attorneys each year.

NITA’s references, texts, case files and audio-visual materials are used by thousands of attorneys and are incorporated into the curriculum at over 85% of US law schools. NITA now trains lawyers and law students throughout the world, including the EU, Japan, China, Canada, Mexico and Latin/South America.

The Alliance’s objective is to promote and deliver high quality advocacy training in the UK and in Europe. We are able to offer training in global advocacy, arbitration advocacy and US trial advocacy to practitioners of all levels of experience. Our trainers are amongst the leading advocacy trainers in the world.

We have already had a lot of interest from law firms about advocacy training for their arbitration lawyers. Many of the skills in the analysis and presentation of cases, questioning witnesses and handling experts are  transferrable from trial advocacy.

We can also offer face-to-face training to US lawyers practising from the European offices of international law firms who need CLE and Ethics credits but who are unable to obtain them without travelling back to the US or watching educational videos.

NITA is able to seek CLE accreditation for lawyers admitted in all US states on behalf of delegates attending a course.
